       As per the academic calendar the Christmas Examination was going to ne conducted on this week. The teachers and students were ready to face the examination.Only on monday therevwas afull day class.The day began with a morning assembly. In the assembly there distributed the prizes for sub district  and district youth festival which was held a few days back. The vice principal Sri.Abdul Jaleel distributed the prizes for students. Jinsha J.S won the prize for both Malayalam and English speech.Abhinav.s won the recitation speech etc .The students of 8 E won the prize for vanjipaattu.our school also won many prize in sasthramela as well.

    
           We also got opportunity to interact with up students as rhe up teachers were busy with exam schedules.The students were very energetic and enthusiastic . The students were very careful to keep their classes clean and they also showed great interest in taking care of their small garden before their class.It was a great happy moment.

   Second Phase Internship:4th week
     The school routine was very busy with the approaching of 2nd term examination.The teachers were rushing to finish their portions.It also affected the assembly and other programs of the school.

CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 

As part of the government grand program namely 'Malayala Thilakkam' was conducted for the UP students.The program was to compromise the difficulty of the students who faced in reading and writing their mother tongue. A small group of the UP teachers made the class interactive through small poems,rhymes,stories etc. The class was conducted on the smartroom of higher secondary building.The students were made to write sentences words and also sing songs in their mother tongue. The students who attended the class was able to achieve the objectives intended to be given by the class.The duration of the class was distributed as 5 hours a day totally 25 hours a week.The group effort of the techteachers and the co operation of the students made the program a great success.

A handbook was provided for both techers and students along with many aids for taking classes for the  students. There wwre many discussions held in the school for the application of the programme 'Venalpacha'. The motto of the programme was to green atmosphere to the school and develop a positive attitude in students about environment and biodiversity.The slogan for the program isGREEN,CLEAN AND HUMANE SCHOOL.Seperate books were made available to 5th 6th and 7th students.

CO CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 

The Trivandrum subdistrict youth festival wwere conducted on this week .our school participated representing  various items like vanjipaattu,skit,kolkali duffmuttu etc

   The heavy rain and the unexpected arrival of the storm named 'Ockhi' made a unstabled disorder of the working of classes.The public holiday of Nabidinam was another reason for it.Due to the heavy rain, the classes were dispersed in the afternoon for two days.The beginning of the week worked with a morning assembly which held the distribution of the cycles for the poor students. The students were very happy. The keys were distributed by our honourable H.M and P.T.A president. The cycle were distributed in the presence of their parents.

         

CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 

The curricular activities of the schoolwas functioning as normal.There was a Quiz program conducted as part of the constitution day on Nov 26.The winners received cash prizes and momento.Various Quiz programmes were also conducted as part of day observations .multiple rounds were conducted and winners were selected. The teachers were busy with the exam oriented classes.Combined study and classes were conducted under the supervision of teachers.

The classes functioned normal for me. I was not able to complete my weekly plan as there was unexpected holidays. I utilised tge various aspects of the ICT in my lessons.

The practice sessions for the students who won the sunmb district youth festival were given thorough practice  for their active participation in the district youth festival.

    It was a great experience and the experiences was getting different day by day .As there were many free periods we had to work hard for making the students engaged .Some of them also had the experience to look after the duty of sub district youth festival. It was really a busy schedule.

 CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 

  The subject club worked as usual.The curricular activities  was not there anything special.The students had the provision for approaching teachers to ask their doubts.The notable was the functioning of the smartroom.Almost all the teachers utilised it very well. The integration of technology with learning always gave the students a varied experience.I also gave classes in smartroom.It was the most appropriate and convenient to take ICT classes.The language clubs ,quiz clubs of the school was also functioning well.Many quiz programmes were conducted on the school with accordance to the observance of days. The school also is raking its great effort to give coaching sessions to the students who has a taste for civil service.
         I was very much satisfied with my classes of the week.I tried to give my maximum effort on each class.I tried to give them the opportunity of ICT as maximum as possible.I also engaged the students with many of interesting activities related to learning.

                          

                 CO CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 

   

The school won many prizes for the sub district youth festival which was held on Nedunganda.  The school very much supperted the students and the prizes were the result of the students hard work and  continous practice.The school won first prize for HS and HSS drama,then vanchipattu ,speech,recitation etc .The school had a special programme by the SOUHRIDAM CLUB which constited of higher secondary students. The programme started with the drama which won prize in sub district youth festival. There were also some akits based on 10 life skills.The skit appeared to be entertaining and informative at the same time.

Weekly Report :1        As part of my 2nd phase school internship .I joined M.R.M.K.M.M.H.S.S Edava.I was very happy.I got the same school where I done my 1st phase internship.The students were very happy to see us back again.

     CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 

 At the very first day itself there was a morning assembly.The H.M proudly announced the winners of  the sub district science quiz, on the spot work experience, best stall , Hindi mela. The prize for the winners were distributed in the assembly itself.The another main curricular activity found there was the maintainence of mini class rokm library.Each student in the classroom contributed to the library.It was a mini shelf in eveey classroom .The students used their free time for reading, solving crosswords,reference etc.The curricular activities of the scholl also included small quiz programmes conducted in the class itself.

 CO CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 

The school is also providing a wide variety of opportunities to the students for developing their co curricular abilities .The assembly also held the inaugration of the karate and yoga class by the respected H.M.The students who got prizes in the school youth festival were also on severe practice under the guidance of the music teacher.The school is presenting a variety of items like daffmuttu,vanjipattu etc
     Some of the students got an opportunity to participate  the programme conducted by district child protection unit along with ICDS and social justice council as part of child protection week celebrations. The programme was held on  Muncipal townhall,varakala on nov 17. The programme started with thewelcome speech of smt.Sreekala, CDPO Varkala additional.The felicitation was  made by sri p. Unnikrishnan social welfare  scheme standing chairman.The inauguration was done by smt.Bindhu Haridas varakala muncipal chairperson .The main motto of the school was to make the students aware of themselves and their parents the very significance of protecting child rights and for encouraging them to take intiative against child abuse.
After the inauguration ceremony different competitions were started . They were H.S and U.P section speech , lightmusic and pencil drawing. Many of the students from our school participated in different items.Jinsha J.S of std 9 won first prize for speech competition. The topic was Human right.The programme was overall an onformative one for both students and their parents. It was so glad to know the school was wnriched eith various levels of talent in young ones.
The HM supported us very well. We made our whole hearted approach in every activities and programmes in the school .The school is also providing nutriciou foods like midday meal with variety of menus .Milk eggand banana are also given to students gor their proper growth.

SECOND SEM FEILD TRIP

ALAPPUZHA

                Alleppey, is the administrative headquarters of Alappuzha district of Kerala state of southern India  Alappuzha is a city and a municipality in Kerala with an urban population of 174,164 and third among the districts having highest literacy rate in Kerala. In 2016 centre for science and environment rated Alappuzha as the top cleanest town in India followed by Mysuru &panaji Alappuzha is considered to be the oldest planned city in this region and the lighthouse built on the coast of the city is the first of its kind along the Laccadive sea coast (reference encyclopaedia of Kerala in Malayalam language).

Alappuzha is situated 28 km from Changanssery, 46 km from kottayam and 53 from kochi and 155 kilometres (96 mi) north of trivandrum A town with picturesque canals, backwaters , beaches and lagoons, it was described as the one of the places known as the "Venice of the East" by Lord Curzon. Hence, it is known as the "Venetian Capital" of Kerala. Malayalam is the most spoken language.

We also visited Krishnapuram palace.The guide of the palace gave us a vast  history of the palace.It was build aa the guest house of the king .It was not only a palace it contained many historical pieces and equipments.

 

Then we had a visit to the sankar cartoonist museum .The museum was situated right at the road side.It included a lot of paintings , his cartoon work etc.visiting the museum gave us a splendid experience to our eyes

 

 

Then we had a houly trip in alapuzha lake by houseboat.I was very thrilled as it was my first experience.The area was really beautiful. It was rich in scenary.I have no more words to describe the beauty of it.

 

Finally we played sometime and the evening at a

Alapuzha beach and winded up our trip.It was a great experience.
